Executive Board
The WESA Executive Board manages the day-to-day affairs of WESA and represents the organization towards third parties. It consists of five members: two are appointed by the Members (WESA Teams), two are appointed by ESL, and the Chairman of the Executive Board is chosen by all four. Regular office term of each member on the Executive Board is three years.

Executive Chairman and Commissioner
Pietro Fringuelli takes on the role of the Executive Chairman and Commissioner, bringing a wealth of experience from the sports industry, including expertise gained during his time as advisor for some of the biggest sports organizations in Europe.
Pietro Graf Fringuelli is partner at CMS and head of the CMS Media and Sports sector group. His team received the “Law Firm of the Year – Media” award for the third time in 2011/2012 from JUVE, Germany’s leading law firm directory. The CMS media team is currently ranked in the first tier of German law firms.
He is recognized as a “leading individual” in the field of media and entertainment in the 2015/2016 editions of JUVE and is recommended in Chambers Global and in Chambers Europe in the field of media in 2015/16.
Pietro advised game publishers and platform operators in the field of games since 2002 and various sport organisations such as the German Football League (Bundesliga) and the German Basketball League. Doctorate in 2004 on copyright law on the topic of Internet TV – Film Copyright on the Internet. Studied law at the Universities of Florence and Cologne. He is member of the Media Commission of the Media Authority of North Rhine- Westphalia (LfM) and associate professor for media law at the IFS in Cologne.
